The Mad Hatter Tea Party was an amazing event! Every year Cure 4 The Kids puts on a Wonderland themed party to raise money for their long-term follow up clinic. Tawney B was there, decorating guests with with balloon hats. We also had a Emily Lepine join us wearing a lovely Alice in Wonderland balloon dress. Emceed by Channel 13’s Action News Anchor Tricia Kean, the event was a huge success.
The Long Term Clinic
Storybook Homes’ Long Term Follow Up Clinic is a much needed place for survivors of childhood cancer to get the help they need. The great news is that we are curing childhood cancer every day. The bad news, is there can be long term side effects. The Follow Up Clinic provides physical and emotional help for survivors. Good insurance, bad insurance, no insurance, no child is turned away for financial reasons.
So Much Awesome!
The event had a sea of characters including the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and the Cheshire Cat! There was a live auction, and teacups hand painted by the clinic’s patients! There was even a magical, color-changing tea for the grownups!
